(1)Take time to be holy, speak oft with thy Lord;
聖となるために時を割き
度々あなたの主と語り
Abide in Him always, and feed on His Word.
たえずイエスにとどまり
みことばを食せよ
Make friends of God’s children,
神の子どもたちと交わり
help those who are weak,
弱き同胞を助け
Forgetting in nothing
忘れることなく
His blessing to seek.
神の祝福を探せよ
(2) Take time to be holy, the world rushes on;
聖となるための時を割け
世は襲ってくる
Spend much time in secret, with Jesus alone.
人目につかぬ時間を多く取れ
ただイエスと共に
By looking to Jesus,
イエスを追い求めて
like Him thou shalt be;
イエスのように歩め
Thy friends in thy conduct
あなたのふるまいによって 同胞たちは
His likeness shall see.
イエスの似姿を見るだろう
(3) Take time to be holy, let Him be thy Guide;
聖となるために時を割き
イエスを導き手とせよ
And run not before Him, whatever betide.
イエスの前から逃げ去るな
何が起ころうとも
In joy or in sorrow,
喜びにも 悲しみにも
still follow thy Lord,
あなたの主に従い続け
And, looking to Jesus,
イエスを追い求めて
still trust in His Word.
みことばに信頼し続けよ
(4) Take time to be holy, be calm in thy soul,
聖となるための時を割き
魂に安らぎを得よ
Each thought and each motive beneath His control.
あらゆる思いや動機は
イエスの御手の中にある
Thus led by His Spirit
だから 聖霊によって
to fountains of love,
愛の源へ導かれよ
Thou soon shalt be fitted
あなたはすぐに相応しい者となるでしょう
for service above.
